Broadband Essentials Certificate

The Broadband Essentials Certificate introduces students to intermediate networking concepts, including operating systems, networking technologies, cabling and hardware maintenance. This certificate is designed as a follow up to the Intro to Broadband Certificate and is offered by fully accredited Pace University. The certificate can be used as either a stand-alone credential, or can be folded into the A.S. Degree, Networking Technologies. Students can choose to stop at any step along the way, or continue to complete the degree depending on their goals and needs.

Who should apply?
This program is open to people interested in learning the fundamentals of current broadband telecommunications technologies and who:

Have a high school diploma
Cannot attend a traditional college program
Want to prepare for entry level Broadband technician jobs in the industry
Want to expand their knowledge of Broadband technologies
Have completed Broadband Essentials (AIT 109) and Introduction to Broadband Certificate

What will I learn?
The courses provide students with the concepts needed for an intermediate level of understanding of the broadband and networking technologies, including cabling, signal and data transmission, emerging communications technologies, operating systems, hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.

What certificate will I earn?

How long does the program take to complete?
Assuming most students are studying part-time, the program can be completed in one year.
