Working Adults Earn Their Degrees and Fulfill Goals
Record-breaking 119 employee-students of the NACTEL Telecommunications partnership graduate from Pace University

May 22, 2007 saw an exciting and emotion-filled evening honoring the 2007 graduates NACTEL program at Pace University. A total of 119 students graduated this year, making the largest year in the history of the NACTEL program. Out of this graduating class, 42 received their Bachelor of Science degree and 77 graduated with the Associate of Science degree. Each of these degrees was delivered entirely online. More than 25 of the NACTEL graduates, as well as representatives from nearly all of the NACTEL partners (AT&T, CWA, IBEW, Qwest, Verizon) attended the festivities in at the University’s student center in Pace Plaza in New York City.

These graduates celebrated with their family and friends. After the welcoming remarks from Dr. David Sachs, the attending graduates enjoyed a fine dinner. Then, the evening’s events included congratulations from the NACTEL Board and faculty, words of reflection and inspiration from some of the graduates, and recognition of the considerable number of award winners; 22 people graduated with Latin Honors and 65 graduated with distinction.
The NACTEL program graduates joined their fellow Pace University graduates for Commencement at Radio City Music Hall the following day.

NACTEL is administered by CAEL, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning.
